Detailed Insights into OnTrack 3.0’s Latest Features

Only One Bookmark Points to First Page

This rule ensures that only one bookmark directs to the cover page. Results indicate whether navigation meets the criteria or requires attention, providing users with a streamlined experience.

Identify Highlighted Text

This Validation Rule ensures thorough examination for any instances of highlighted content, providing users with clear insights into document integrity and formatting adherence.

Virus Scanning
Before document analysis, a virus scanner is utilized. This functionality automatically checks uploaded documents for viruses. Additionally, new icons in the document list signify scanning status and quarantined files.

Administration UI for Manual QCs

Workspace Administrators gain access to Manual QC Management module. Here, they can add, delete, and modify Manual QC items, enabling/disabling, reordering, and creating new ones. These items allow for actions like moving items, deleting them, and adjusting their order. Default settings dictate that selecting “Yes” or “N/A” results in a pass, while “No” leads to failure.

Validation of „Page X of Y”

The Validation Rule now identifies pages with incorrect numbering/counting.  It includes new error messages for cases where: the page number is one or more higher than expected, the page number is one or more lower than expected, the page count is one or more higher than expected, or the page count is one or more lower than expected.

Internal Hyperlinks Blued

The Internal Hyperlink Validation now includes a new error type to identify fragmented links. This occurs when multiple hyperlinks within a single blue text point to the same location, located closely together. Previously, the tool didn’t detect this issue, mistaking it for overlapping hyperlinks. Fragmented hyperlinks entail division into multiple parts, each linked to a different URL or resource.

No Track Changes

The Validation Rule has been improved to identify Track Changes saved with Simple Markups, where only a Markup Line appears on the left side of the text.

Pattern Search

Enhancements in the search functionality include a switch button for toggling findings, introduction of search categories for grouping, and sorting options for status, category, and finding. Users can now filter findings by category selection, ensuring a refined search experience. Disabled findings are excluded from exported Excel sheets. Furthermore, the Reference Search tab has evolved into the “Pattern Search” tab, offering a new search box and dropdown list to enhance search navigation and to provide a more user-friendly and comprehensive solution. The style of the exported Excel sheet has also been updated for enhanced presentation.

Display Username and Role on the UI

A new profile icon in the upper right corner now displays essential user information upon clicking, including username, name, email address, assigned workspaces, and roles. User-related menu items such as Change Password, Reset Layout, and Log Out are conveniently accessible.

Enhanced Metrics Excel Report

Upon downloading the Excel report, a new tab named Parameters will include all elements from the Metrics window: Metric, Workspaces, Statistics, Start Date, End Date, and Granularity. Additionally, Metrics Excel Reports now consist of two worksheets: the Data worksheet, mirroring the UI table, and the Parameters worksheet, displaying the same metric set and parameter information as on the UI.

Design Change for Show My Documents / All Documents

The “Show My Documents / All Documents” options have been relocated from the hamburger menu to the navigation pane, now represented as a switch button for easier access.

Search Function Enhanced

Enhancements to the search function have been made for increased efficiency. Previously limited to searching within a specific folder, the search field has been relocated to the top of the Navigation pane. Now, users can search for keywords across all items under their name, including workspaces and documents. Search results, along with the folders containing them and the number of findings, are conveniently displayed in the Navigation pane. Selecting a folder reveals relevant documents in the File Upload pane, offering a comprehensive search experience.
