Looking Ahead: Our Exciting 2024 Company Event in Budapest
At the beginning of this month, we had the pleasure of gathering for our annual company event in Budapest, reflecting on 2024. It was especially great to finally meet up with colleagues from far and wide—some of whom we don’t get to see nearly as often as we’d like!
Our venue this year again was the beautiful Graphisoft Park, a stunning green space along the Danube, known for its innovative architecture, statues, and generally inspiring vibes. We kicked off the day grabbing some much-needed coffee and tasty snacks before diving into some engaging presentations. We looked back at our achievements, caught up on company news, and set our sights on the exciting goals ahead for this year.
The presentations sparked plenty of conversations, as teams shared updates on key projects and reflected on lessons learned over the past year. It was a great chance to understand what different teams had been working on and to see how everyone’s contributions fit into the bigger picture. The atmosphere was relaxed and genuine, with people chiming in to share thoughts, ask questions, and celebrate each other’s successes in real time.
Then came the much-anticipated lunch. Starting from comforting soups to indulgent desserts, there was something for everyone. Over good food and great company, we had the chance to chat, laugh, and reconnect. The dining area buzzed with energy as colleagues exchanged stories, celebrated each other’s milestones, and built even stronger connections. It was a reminder that beyond our professional roles, we are part of a tight-knit community that genuinely enjoys spending time together.
The afternoon was all about recognition — celebrating the hard work and dedication of our colleagues with well-deserved awards. Huge congratulations once again to all the winners! It was a powerful moment to see hard work and passion rewarded, reinforcing our culture of valuing and uplifting one another. These awards, the Golden Badger and Pro DACHS prizes, have become a cherished tradition, symbolizing excellence and dedication within our company. In an especially touching gesture, anonymous compliments from colleagues were shared for each winner, highlighting the deep appreciation and respect they’ve earned from their peers.
And then came a special surprise from our CEO, Ede. Our long-time warriors of DACHS—those who have been with us for over 20 years—were honored with original Swiss cowbells, complete with personalized engravings. And let’s not forget those who have been part of our journey for more than 10 years—they received miniature versions of the bells, a thoughtful reminder of our company’s values: originality, productivity, tradition, and innovation. The surprise touched everyone deeply, serving as a poignant reminder of the loyalty and commitment that have shaped the company’s evolution over the years.
The rest of the afternoon was filled with laughter, great conversations, and, of course, the occasional (and very unique) sound of cowbells ringing. As we looked back on the challenges we’ve conquered and the successes we’ve achieved, we also turned our eyes toward the future—excited for the road ahead, no matter how long or challenging it may be. The event wrapped up with a sense of renewed motivation and camaraderie, leaving everyone feeling energized and ready to tackle the next chapter together.
