The OnStyle’s ‘Check’ feature lets you easily find and correct the incidental text style and formatting errors in your documents. The available checks are organized in groups for a quick and effective use but can also be started individually. The selection of available checks and check groups may vary depending on the applied RuleSet.

Run a Check on your document

On the ‘OnStyle – Checker’ tab click the button of the check group to execute the check. When OnStyle has finished a ‘Check result’ pane will appear on the right side with a list of errors found.

Correct errors

To further your correction process OnStyle will navigate to each error found upon clicking any item in the list of check results. OnStyle also offers a range of automatic fixes. To apply the available fixes right click the listed result in the ‘Check result’ pane and select the name of the fix.

You can run each check individually or run only a few preferred ones as well. Simply click the down arrow beside the Check group name and select/unselect the checks by clicking them. When ready click the button of the check group to start your checks.

OnStyle will not forget your check selection. If you want to run all checks, you need to change the selection again.

OnStyle lets you fix the check results one by one, but in most cases there is also an option to fix all listed findings under a check name. To fix all results right click the check name and select the appearing fix name.
